Emma Norris of Humphries & Jones, Sculpture and Architectural Conservation, spent 2 days on top of the Church tower painting the weathervane post and re-gilding the directionals. She had to endure hot sun one day and cold wind the next. The wind made attaching the gold leaf a real challenge! Emma completed the work before the rain set in. We hope to have the weathervane, with cockerel, back in position very soon.
All Saints Church, East Budleigh, Parochial Parish Council (PCC) needs a secretary and a deputy churchwarden. The only qualifications are a willingness to help, and that you need to have been living in the parish for 6 months and be on the parish electoral roll. There are only 4-6 meetings per year. There are lots of experienced PCC members to provide advice, so don't be shy to volunteer. If you are interested please get in touch with Paul Kurowski on 01395 742942 or firstname.lastname@example.org
All Saints East Budleigh has a beautiful "wild" churchyard, and we want to improve the appearance of it whilst maintaining its natural beauty. Some graves are maintained by family members, but others are very overgrown. We are hoping to start an "Adopt a Grave" scheme where individuals take responsibility for maintaining a plot. If you are interested in doing this at All Saints, and would like to help then come to our initial meeting on Saturday 12th May at 10.00 - meet at the Church entrance - or phone/e-mail and let us know – you can select a grave/memorial that you would like to maintain and contribute to the peace and beauty of our Churchyard.

Everyone in the Parish is welcome to come to the Annual Parish Meeting to elect two Church Wardens to serve for the next 12 months. The meeting is in All Saints Church Hall in East Budleigh.
Following the election, the Annual Parochial Church Meeting starts. This is where we review activities and finances for the last 12 months. The Parochial Church Council (PCC) for next year will be elected - but you can only vote if you are on the Church Electoral Roll. We have three vacancies: Secretary, Deputy Churchwarden and PCC member - if you think you could fill one of these then please contact Jane Buckland-Wright on 01395 446781 to find out more.

There was great excitement as everyone watched the buns descend from the top of the bell tower! On Sunday at 10am (5th Nov) there will be an informal All Saints Day service at All Saints Church, East Budleigh to celebrate how God is working to make his saints more like Jesus. Everyone is welcome to attend – but the refreshments will not be thrown from the top of the tower!
